Those who will benefit most from using these types of lenses are those who spend a great deal of time outdoors. The glare of the sun, whether we recognize it or not, can be very damaging to the eyes over a long period of time. The polarized glasses can greatly help to protect the eyes from those harmful rays from the sun. What many people do not realize is that even if the weather is overcast and cloudy, the sun’s rays do still breakthrough and can cause damage to the eyes and the skin. 

Benefits and Disadvantages 

The advantages of polarized lenses are of course that they provide great cover for the eyes with regards to the sun, and they are also well priced and they are slick in terms of the size of the lens. Because of the fact that the lens just has a thin coating of chemical on it, there is no need for bulky lenses. 

There are some disadvantages to this type of lens which you ought to bear in mind if you are considering using polarized lenses. For example, these lenses don’t work very well when looking at LCD screens and they are also problematic if you are driving at night or operating in low light situations. 

In the main however these lenses are absolutely ideal for anyone who has eyes which are sensitive to light or for people who are looking at getting some sunglasses which really do a good job in terms of reducing the damage which the sun’s rays can cause.
